Ordering & Delivery

Our truffles grow wild. We keep no stock and only offer what has actually been found.

Ordering and payment

You choose your truffles under «In season now» and send your basket, or you order through our enquiry form or by e-mail to swiss@trufflenose.ch. The minimum quantity per order and variety is:

  • White truffle (Tuber magnatum): 30 g to 500 g
  • All other truffles: 150 g to 1 kg

Payment is by invoice, TWINT or cash. Cash and TWINT on personal handover; invoice for business customers and larger orders.

Availability and order deadline

As soon as fresh truffles are available, we inform you with an availability message. Each message states an order deadline. Orders received after the deadline are included in the next round: we deliver in rounds, about every two days, as long as fresh truffles are available.

Members of the Founding Circle are informed first and can order first.

We confirm availability and the delivery day once we have received your order.

We cannot accept orders for a fixed date or staggered deliveries: fresh truffles are a natural product. They may no longer be available, or their price may change considerably.

Delivery

We deliver your truffles personally, by our own car, throughout Switzerland, without a courier.

From dispatch, you receive your truffles within 24 to 48 hours, depending on the delivery location.

The truffles are brushed: we only remove the coarsest layer of soil, because a little soil protects them naturally and preserves their aroma. We deliver them in insulated containers.

Weight and price

The weight at the last weighing before handover applies. Fresh truffles naturally lose some weight over time. This is normal for fresh produce.

Prices

All prices are in Swiss francs. The white truffle is sold at the daily price, which we tell you with the availability message.

Delivery costs

Delivery is charged from CHF 20.00, depending on the distance to your delivery address.

Use and storage

To keep your truffles at their full aroma:

  • How much per plate: about 7 to 10 g of white truffle or 10 to 15 g of black truffle, shaved fresh over the dish. You will find the details with each truffle.
  • Cleaning: only just before use. Black truffles with a small brush under running water, white truffle with a soft, slightly damp brush.
  • Serving: slice thinly with a truffle slicer directly over the warm dish. The heat releases the aroma. Always use the white truffle raw, never cooked.
  • Storage: do not wash in advance. Wrap in absorbent kitchen paper and change it every day as soon as it gets damp. Keep in an airtight plastic or glass container in the fridge, without the truffle touching the sides.
  • Shelf life: stored this way, white truffle about 5 to 7 days, black truffles about 7 to 10 days.

Complaints

Before a truffle reaches you, we check it personally. Please check the goods on handover: quality defects must be reported immediately on handover. Truffles with quality defects are not replaced but credited. We accept no liability for damage caused by improper storage or handling after handover.
